Banners and oaths

Factions

The orders, houses, pacts and armies of Albion, and the emblems they fight under.

The Dragon Slayers Society

A sword planted in the earth

The brotherhood Eadric founded in the hills of Albion with Kael, Ysella and Valen. Its oath: to stand as one, to fight the dragons within as well as without, to grow, to transform, and to help others do the same. It has no gate; you join it by crossing something.

The Sigil Knights

The Sigil Draconis: a coiled dragon, branded on the forearm

Albion's fading order of dragon slayers. Each knight forges his own blade at the Last Hearth and bears the coiled dragon burned into his flesh. Their bastion at Blackthorn Keep fell to betrayal; House Brynmor is their last patron.

The Concordium

Unknown

The ancient order of slayers whose weapons were forged at the Forge of the Sigil and whose novices endured the Rite of Shadows. It fell to the dragons; Eadric is its last known survivor.

The Silver Circle

A silver ring

Once a knightly order crushed in the Shattered Age, now a blood-pact: cut palms, a circle of light, and strength and pain shared between all who swear it. Sir Ardent Carroway was its last knight; Eadric, Riven, Lyara and Brother Aldain revived its rite against Karnyx.

The Silver Wardens

A silver gauntlet

Stone knights bound by an oath that outlasts death, keeping vigil over the Relic of Unity in the Ashen Spires. They named Drakvar one of their own.

The Verdant Pact

The Lifetree

Four champions who drank the Lifetree's essence and bound themselves to Albion's land and to each other: Orlenna, Eadric, Ysador and Rykard.

House Brynmor

A raven above a tower

The noble house that stood with the Sigil Knights when every other looked away. Lady Morwenna is its voice and its bow.

The Keepers

None; each keeps a different door

Nine beings who guard Albion's relics and trials and test whoever seeks them. They grant nothing; they reveal what the seeker already carries.

The Clans of the North

The mark of the Oathstone

Warriors of the frozen north who follow no one without a blood oath. They knelt when they saw the runes burned into Eadric's arm.

The Dragon Kin

A red serpent-dragon on black

The dragons and their armies under Malakar, the Firstborn of Shadow. They are not born of the void or the gods; they are the shadows of humanity given form.

Heraldry

The Sigil Draconis

A coiled dragon, engraved on Sigil Knight steel and branded into the forearm.

The Raven and Tower

House Brynmor's crest, flown over Ravenspire's walls.

The Red Serpent-Dragon

Malakar's sigil on black banners, carried by the Dragon Kin horde.

The Silver Ring

The Silver Circle's tabard emblem and the shape its blood-pact takes.

The Lifetree

A tree whose roots and branches form a circle: the Verdant Pact and the Glade.

The Closed Eye

The gold earring of Lyara's old spy guild in the southern cities.
