The frightened scholar who shattered the Whispering Stone and died shielding Albion's last hope.
Archetype
Knowledge held humbly. Callum is the only one who hears the Whispering Stone's promise and answers no; his wisdom is knowing which power should never be used.
Curious, anxious, precise. He asks the questions no one wants asked and finds, at the end, that his courage was never in doubt.
The story
Callum never wanted to be at the front of anything. He followed Eadric into the Library of Gildenspire asking why they were there, and when the Whispering Stone offered Eadric the power to end the Dragon Kin, it was Callum who said no. He hurled the relic against the wall and shattered it, and Albion lost a weapon and kept its Slayer.
On Hollowpeak, as Zorynthal gathered its breath of lightning and fire, Callum stepped forward with his journal. The spell would cost him everything, and he cast it anyway. A barrier of light took the dragon's breath, and when the light faded Callum was gone.
Eadric raised Vigilance over the ashes of the Stormwing Wyrm and spoke two names: Callum's, and Albion's.
Appearance
Slight and unarmored, forever clutching a leather-bound journal to his chest, ink on his fingers and worry in his face. A scholar's dark robe under a travel cloak.
Signature
A journal of incantations from which he draws barriers of pure light.
