The story

Renn walked into a tavern to beg a legend for help. Svartmyr asked him what would happen when he failed; Renn said he would die knowing he tried. 'Not bad, kid.' A day of brutal drilling later, Renn stood his ground against a bandit with a staff and held. He never forgot the truth the wanderer left him with: purpose is not given, it is found, and then it has to be lived.

Appearance

A trembling boy with a battered, rusted sword, later a village protector with a well-worn blade.

A sturdy staff, and the lesson that came with it.
