The story

Orlenna has held the Verdant Glade against the Dragon Kin for years, feeling the forest's pain as her own. When the Lifetree's strength began to wane, she did what guardians rarely do: she asked for help, summoning Eadric, Ysador and Rykard to the Glade.

The Verdant Pact she forged there is the war's turning point. Each drank the Lifetree's essence and was bound to the land and to one another; the forest itself rose to fight when the Dragon Kin attacked. Her welcome to Rykard, the man in shadow, is the Pact's creed: 'Even the shadows are part of Albion.'

Before that she had already walked into the Bastion of Varn beside Eadric, faced visions of her forest burning, and answered them with the words that broke the Warden's chains: 'The land endures.'

Appearance

Sun-bronzed, ash-blonde hair in a long braid woven with vines and small white blossoms, green eyes flecked with gold, leaf-shaped tattoo lines tracing from temple to neck. She wears living vines and bark plates over supple leather, a moss-green mantle that grows real ivy, and a belt with a vial of glowing Verdant Essence.

Signature

A living branch of the Lifetree for a staff, and roots and thorns that answer her call from beneath any floor.
